Las Cabezas de San Juan Festival Flamenco “La Yerbabuena”

Las Cabezas de San Juan Festival Flamenco “La Yerbabuena”

Each year the Festival Flamenco “La Yerbabuena” pays tribute to flamenco artists who have had important contributions to this art form, both within Andalucia as well as the rest of Spain.  The festival traces its origins to the late 1960’s and is dedicated to celebrating a unique and authentic cultural expression of flamenco as it comes from Andalucia.  The main stage for the festival is located in the city center in the Plaza del Cristo de la Vera Cruz in front of the San Juan Bautista church.  Invited artists in the past have included names such as Arcángel, Camarón, José Mercé, Pastora Galván, Curro Malena, José de la Tomasa, Ramón Amador and more.
