A Flamenco Show in Tablao Flamenco Albayzín

The Tablao Flamenco Albayzin is located at the top of the Albaicín quarter of Granada close to the Mirador de San Cristobal, a plaza overlooking the Alhambra and the city center. The setting in the former Arab quarter of the city is the perfect place to watch a flamenco show. The traditional gypsy flamenco show begins after a brief introduction, explaining the development of flamenco dance and music. The flamenco performance of about an hour and twenty minutes includes 12 different artists.

The ticket includes transportation in a mini bus from any accommodation in the city center of Granada to the Tablao Flamenco Albayzin. Upon arrival there is a walking tour of about 45 minutes of the surrounding neighborhood, giving guests a better understanding of the cultural backdrop in which the flamenco art form has flourished for many years. The neighborhood itself has been declared by UNESCO as a protected cultural site through its World Heritage program, which identifies unique and significant cultural places and activities in order to preserve them. Flamenco music and dance as a whole has just recently been added to this list. The show and tour provide a rare opportunity to enjoy the combination of these examples of intangible cultural heritage, and to experience firsthand how the two are intertwined.

Guests can choose from two types of tickets for the nightly flamenco show: the option of a show with dinner service which starts about an hour before the performance, or the option for the flamenco show plus drink. Both options include round trip transportation from any accommodation in the city center, as well as the short walking tour of the surrounding Albaicin neighborhood, including the Mirador de San Nicolas with views of the Alhambra.
